In Search of Spring: Longwood Gardens
“They wanted spring, of course they wanted it, more than anything. They longed for sun with every pore of their skin. But spring hurts. If spring can come, if things can be different, how can you bear what your existence has been?” ― Helen Dunmore, The Siege
Last Sunday, weary from the long cold winter, we went in search of signs of Spring. Evidence of what is to come. Flowers, green grass, heat, ferns and laughter.
Longwood Gardens’ Conservatory gave us hope.
How adorable is this treehouse, one of many at the Gardens? I almost wished I had space behind my home to build one as a retreat.
