The Blizzard of January 2016
“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.”
― Lewis Carroll
Oh what a storm it was. So much snow in 24 hours! When it was done, everywhere was white and one had to confess that the snow makes things magical. Even though I hate the snow, we had to take a short walk in it and shack off the cabin fever and soak in new landscape.
Here’s to hoping that we have had our fill of snow for the entire winter season and it is Spring from here on out.
